West Ham Fans
Was sat in a craft brewery beer garden on Friday afternoon and my Fiance and myself got chatting to this man and his Son. The Father was from Watford. Anyway as we got chatting more, I asked if he was a Watford supporter, he replied that he looked out for their results, but he actually is a West Ham supporter. Cue one dumbfounded Fiance and a lengthy chat about The Hammers. Turns out, his Uncle played for us in the late 50's and stayed in the same accommodation as Malcolm Allison.

Saturday, went to Stratford upon Avon. My lady and myself were again sat in a beer garden and a family opposite us on another table were chatting away, I thought to myself, they aren't locals, got chatting with them and they were from Plaistow but had moved to Stratford due to work. All three were Hammers Fans, cue my once again dumbfounded Fiance and a great chat about The Hammers.

Absolutely love our passionate Fans.

We really are something else.

We are a different breed.

Can't help myself but shout out irons like I have tourettes when I see someone in a west ham top.

I really dont think other fans have that bond.

Roll on next week, International break is so boring.

My brother and wife spent the weekend of the Brighton game in Oswestry. They picked a random pub to watch the game and it was full of fellow Hammers fans. They had a great time and got on really well with these guys and we won as well.
Last week in majorca, they went into a bar only to find the same blokes there!

I was in Lowestoft a couple of weeks back and got chatting to a couple of fans in there early 20s (one wearing a retro Dr Martens shirt) but who had never been to Upton Park.
I guess in time the percentage of our fanbase like this lad will increase and only us elder generation will remember the old gaff.

Chatting bollocks to random strangers isn't my cup of tea, I have a rule that I assume folks are complete cunts, just plain boring, or the full package - boring cunts, and I'm usually right :-)

I told him about a week ago that he watches a load of old shit on tv and he hasn't stopped following me around since, which begs the questions if he gets so offended and upset at minor provocation then why the fuck is he on here??

Must have been given a silly moniker when he was younger to react the way he does…..tries badly to give out abuse….and hissy fits when it’s given back…..

I can't believe that after 3 posts, the slanging match started. The Friday sketch was in Gloucester. His uncles name was Billy Dare. If any of the older supporters remember him, would be interesting.

Spot on mate , this site is getting boring with all the slagging off and keyboard warrior threats, it’s about time the admin on here fcuk a few off so the rest of us can get on with normal discussions about West Ham , it’s every post on here now turns into insults. If you want to have a row with someone sort it out somewhere and give us on here a rest .

Can remember the old man talking about Billy Dare played for us in the late 50s

I moved over to Dublin in 2008, and it always amazes me the number of West Ham fans that fly over on a match day. The Irish lads could have chosen any team, but chose us.

I’ve bumped into quite a few in my time over here, one of them genuinely believed that we were the best team in the 60s

Do the Dublin hammers still drink in Brannigans?

Re: West Ham Fans
Know a few in Liverpool and not limited to West Ham fans who’ve moved here like me. A couple of natives I know follow us (their dad who goes home and away with them is from East London) and I’ve met a couple of other Scouse Hammers.

Re: West Ham Fans
I recall, as a schoolboy, Billy Dare joining us from Brentford. He was fairly regular for us before we had Dick and Keeble paired, in our promotion season, and after that he became more a back up forward choice.
